Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering a variety of services, including:

• Cardiology
• Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER
• General Surgery
• Orthopedic Surgery
• Total Joint Replacement
• Gastroenterology
• Diagnostic Services

Responsibilities

• Inspect, prepare, and sterilize instruments and instrument sets for the Main Operating Room.
• Load and unload sterilizers efficiently.
• Maintain high standards for decontamination, assembly, inspection, wrapping, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Collaborate with OR staff to provide timely sterile products, trays, and case carts.
• Ensure a consistent workflow between the OR and Sterile Processing while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
• Completion of a Central Supply Sterile Processing Program or Surgical Technology Program, or one year of relevant experience in lieu of a program.
• A minimum of one year of previous experience in Central Sterile or as a Surgical Technologist.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
• Certification as a Central Processing Technician.
