Job Description

Research, design and implement AI/ML pipelines to advance the user experience of the team's projects. Provide consulting and teaching regarding AI/ML to other team members and coordinate AI/ML activities within the team. *Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Red Hat, Inc. office in Lowell, MA. What You Will Do: Research, design and implement AI/ML pipelines to advance the team's internal processes and tools using AI/ML technology. Design user interfaces for AI/ML functionalities. Develop software tests, including CI tests together with QE. Collaborate with other team members using agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban, backlog refinement, retrospectives, story pointing and other activities such as code reviews, debugging or patch development. Conduct status reports on the progress on the different issues in the software to be modified. Record or present in live demos or blog posts to educate and promote the software. Meet open-source community and/or customers to discuss the software in conferences. Use agile development methodologies to ensure successful collaboration within the team to deliver relevant value in a timely manner through the team's software projects. What You Will Bring: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related role OR Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field. Position requires working knowledge of the following skills gained through coursework or experience: software programming in Python; Software programming in Rust; software programming using shell scripts; Agile software development; setting up or using computer networks and network protocols with NetworkManager or similar tools; using and maintaining Linux systems; object-oriented programming; writing and running software tests; designing user interfaces; and developing AI/ML pipelines.

The salary range for this position is $122,970 - $166,320. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. Pay Transparency Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat's compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
