Florence, Alabama is situated in Northwestern Alabama, where the Tennessee River Flows through the scenic Shoals. On your days off spend some time fishing and boating on Wilson Lake. Department/Unit Summary  

Join our post-surgical department at NAMC! Our Acute Overflow department is a 12-bed unit with a 5:1 that will care for post-surgical patients and from time-to-time other unit overflow patients from other units.

Qualifications and requirements  
Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include: 

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience preferred.
  • Must have an active AL or Compact RN License.
  • Must have ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must have admission and discharge experience.
