THE POSITION
We are looking for a meticulous and experienced General Real Estate Appraiser with a focus on right-of-way acquisition. Your expertise will be crucial in determining fair market values and assessing just compensation for damages. In this position, you will leverage your skills to support fair compensation for property owners impacted by right-of-way initiatives, ensuring appraisals are conducted promptly to align with project timelines. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will assess the suitable techniques required to establish property values. It is essential to recognize any concealed problems or absent elements not depicted in the plan and communicate these to the supervisor for minor adjustments. This should be done via the Right-of-Way office program if a claimant is involved, or through a more formal response for issues that could impact deadlines. The supervisor will review the completed work to ensure compliance with state and federal appraisal standards.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Oil City.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirements:
- This position requires the possession of anactive Pennsylvania Certified General Real Estate Appraiser certification.
- This position requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.
