Job DescriptionSouth Central College is accepting applications for an Unlimited, Full-Time Dental Assisting Instructor. We are seeking an instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires being part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community.The successful candidate will be responsible for classroom instruction. He/She will be expected to work as a team member in maintaining a learning environment that meets the educational requirements of the post-secondary student.Minimum QualificationsEducation RequirementBachelor degree and graduate of an accredited dental assisting program.Occupational Experience RequirementThree full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a dental assistant.Recency RequirementOne year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) post-secondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.Professional RequirementDental Assistant certification by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB). Current Dental Assistant License from the Minnesota Board of Dentistry.Other RequirementsCompliance with clinical affiliate policies for attending onsite clinical teaching assignmentsAboutSouth Central College is unable to sponsor applicants for work visas.
