Construction Industry Development Manager

Construction Chemicals-Concrete Admixtures

Location: US Nationwide

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Industry Development Manager to join our team, focusing on the construction chemical market with a specialization in concrete admixtures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales within the construction chemicals industry, with a preference for experience with industry-leading brands such as Sika, Master Builders, GCP, Chryso, Euklid, or Normet.

Key Responsibilities

Market Development:

Develop and implement strategies to drive market growth for concrete admixtures within the construction chemicals sector.

Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities and emerging trends in the concrete admixture market.

Gather and organize market intelligence. Survey, research, and define the marketplace and determine market share objectives. Define target customers by region. Foster consistent customer communication.

Develop key supplier alliances to support product lines .Conduct joint calls with suppliers

Develop breadth of product portfolio across market to address strategic applications within customer base

Sales Management:

Achieve sales targets and revenue growth through effective management of existing accounts and acquisition of new clients.

Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales plans, including forecasting, budgeting, and sales strategies.

Cultivate extensive technical product and sales support and expertise.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic accounts, distributors, industry stakeholders and suppliers.

Provide expert advice and support to clients on the selection and application of concrete admixtures.

Product Expertise:

Maintain a deep understanding of concrete admixtures and related products, including their benefits, applications, and competitive positioning.

Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements relevant to concrete admixtures.

Expand company expertise in products and technologies for construction material applications beyond concrete admixtures.

Marketing and Promotion:

Develop and execute marketing campaigns and promotional activities to enhance brand visibility and product awareness.

Prepare and deliver presentations, demonstrations, and technical seminars to showcase product features and benefits.

Attend appropriate market conventions and tradeshows to expand our presence and relationships

Technical Support:

Offer technical support and solutions to clients and field teams, addressing product performance issues and application challenges.

Collaborate with the R&D and technical teams to provide feedback and insights for product improvement and innovation.

Reporting and Analysis:

Monitor and analyze market trends, sales performance, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.

Prepare regular reports and updates on market conditions, sales performance, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or business development within the construction chemicals industry, with a strong focus on concrete admixtures.
  • Preferred Experience: Hands-on experience with leading brands such as Sika, Master Builders, GCP, Chryso Group, Euclid Chemical, or Normet is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing large accounts.
  • Strong understanding of concrete admixtures, their applications, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Requirement:

Sales and/or technical experience using chemicals in construction, tunnelling, shotcrete, mortar, and concrete. Serious candidates will submit a cover letter describing how they can add value to our company based on their education and work history.
