Associate Tax Accountant
Jacksonville, FL (Fully Remote)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Tax Accountant to join our client's growing CPA Firm in Jacksonville, FL. This role offers a fully remote or hybrid work arrangement if desired , providing flexibility to work remotely while supporting the firms tax team. Candidates must reside in Florida or Georgia to be considered for this position, with preference given to those in the greater Jacksonville area.

The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting and tax preparation, with experience in preparing and supporting tax filings for S-Corporations, C-Corporations, and individual clients. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare tax returns for S-Corporations, C-Corporations, and individual clients under the guidance of senior team members.
• Collaborate with the tax team to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Conduct tax research to support client-specific tax planning strategies.
• Assist with gathering and organizing client financial data for tax preparation.
• Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations to support accurate tax filings.
• Provide support to senior accountants and contribute to team deliverables.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with clients to address tax-related questions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting.
• CPA eligibility or progress toward certification is a plus.
• 1 or moreyears of experience in tax preparation or related roles.
• Familiarity with tax preparation software (experience with specific platforms is a plus).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must reside in Florida or Georgia, with preference given to candidates in the greater Jacksonville area.
• Candidates must not require sponsorship now or in the future.
