Nassau University Medical Center, a leading healthcare institution on Long Island, NY, is seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our team as the Administrator of Neuroscience. Nassau University Medical Center is a 530-bed tertiary care teaching hospital that has been the primary source of medical care for millions of Nassau County residents since 1935. We are seeking an accomplished Administrator of Neuroscience to lead our growing neuroscience department. The ideal candidate will combine clinical excellence with strong leadership abilities to advance our neuroscience programs and services.

Specifically, you will:

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all neuroscience services, including neurology, neurosurgery, and neurodiagnostics.
• Direct clinical operations while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
• Lead recruitment, development, and retention of neuroscience staff.
• Foster collaboration between departments and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians.
• Oversee quality improvement initiatives and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Guide research activities and academic programs in partnership with affiliated institutions.
• Manage departmental budget and resources effectively.
• Participate in hospital-wide strategic planning.

We require:

• Master's degree in Public Health, Public Health Administration, Hospital Administration, Nursing, Physician Assistant Studies, Business Administration, or health-related field.
• Five (5) years of experience managing or supervising a health care department or division or conducting an education program in a healthcare-related field; including responsibility for either budget, policies, procedures, planning or program development .
• Experience in academic medicine and clinical research.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
